ARİF AKILLILAR
Arif Akıllılar enrolled in the METU – Department of Industrial Design in 2004, and throughout his college education he was involved in design philosophy, which he managed to introduce to end users under Bürotime after his graduation. Approaching his products in consideration of values of ergonomics with the point of view of “design for everyone”, and developing them in accordance with thoroughly analyzed user’s needs; he created an authentic language of design in the area of furniture. Presenting the process from concept to production for the manufacturer and the users in the best conditions possible, he considers these stages that should not be separated from each other as “integrity in design”. Continuing his professional life majorly with furniture design, he has received awards in the national design contests for areas like electric-electronic small house-ware, and kitchenware. He currently continues his career in B Design Club.
