BURAK KÜRE

Born in Istanbul in 1983, Burak Küre studied at Yeditepe University Department of Electric-Electronic Engineering between 2001-2005. Around that time, Küre started taking great interest in industrial design, and in 2006 he attended a summer course managed by James Irvine at the Domus Academy. The product he designed for the Thonet company there with Alize Çetintaş, came in third among students coming from all corners of the world. In 2006, he got transferred to Yeditepe University Department of Industrial Design and graduated in 2009. Following his graduation, Küre became a freelance designer. Between 2006-2011, he received 3 awards at the IMMIB Industrial Design Contests, two for coming in first, and one for third. In design, he starts off from observation and material, and believes that every detail should be considered important and well thought of; and within the framework of this perfectionism, he aims at creating a difference with every product design.
