Graduated from the Maastricht Visual Arts Academy, Department of Furniture and Architectural Design, Valstar has been designing products and interior spaces since 1998. Looking at the simplicity of the products and designs she developed, she believes that her inspiration generally comes from the potential of materials. Valstar claims that the design and functionality of a product are equally important.
